SATURDAY 15 OCTOBER 2011 We’ve had our fill this year of fire-twirling European backpackers, so decided to stay just a little out of the main part of Byron Bay, in a beachfront caravan park south of the lighthouse. Byron is one of our favourite places in the country, so we will pull up stumps here for at least a week or two. Quite frankly, it will be a miracle if we manage to leave without buying a new house.
